Job summary

Target is seeking a General Merchandise Team Leader in Napa, CA to guide a team in delivering a friendly guest experience, managing daily operations, and ensuring products are in stock, properly priced, and well displayed.

You will lead hourly team members, hire and coach, analyze store metrics, and partner with leadership to drive sales while upholding safety and ethics in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering guest service and maintaining guest-first culture.
• Understanding of department sales trends and inventory basics.
• Ability to plan daily/weekly workload to meet priorities and sales goals.
• Experience leading hourly team members, including interviewing and coaching.
• Ability to train and develop team members for growth.

Responsibilities

• Deliver guest experience commitments consistently.
• Ensure all team members follow guest experience standards.
• Observe, provide feedback, and recognize strong guest moments.
• Review metrics and identify opportunities for performance improvement.
• Lead daily/weekly workload to achieve department and store goals.
• Educate team on procedures affecting inventory, profitability and availability.
• Assist in fulfilling orders and maintaining shelves and displays.
• Develop a guest-centric team through coaching and onboarding.
• Support compliance with safety and security procedures.
• Foster inclusivity and ethical conduct within the team.
