Job Summary

The Inbound Operations Manager is an energetic leader responsible for overseeing strategic implementation of inbound operations at their respective distribution center. Reporting to the General Manager or Assistant General Manager, this role ensures inbound teams, operations, and activities are managed effectively, adhering to safety and compliance regulations. The manager promotes a culture of engagement, empowerment, and problem-solving among team members.

Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with General Manager and/or Assistant General Manager to implement operational strategies that enhance efficiency and productivity.
  2. Manage inbound operations by setting performance expectations, monitoring team productivity, and troubleshooting issues.
  3. Ensure efficient organization of inbound freight, receiving, stocking, housekeeping, maintenance, and safety protocols.
  4. Uphold safety rules to maintain a safe environment for all employees.
  5. Train and develop employees to maximize team efficiency and fill in roles as needed.
  6. Manage supplier, delivery partner, and customer inquiries professionally, encouraging team ownership of customer issues and creative solutions.
  7. Work cross-functionally to monitor, investigate, and resolve receiving errors.
  8. Protect company assets by ensuring proper equipment use, building security, and preventing unauthorized merchandise departure.
  9. Participate in budget planning, cost management, and implement cost-saving measures and process improvements.
Qualifications
  1. At least 2 years of experience in a distribution center or similar environment.
  2. Over 1 year of managerial or team leadership experience.
  3. Strong motivation and ability to inspire teams in problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  4. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  5. Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics software (e.g., WMS, ERP).
  6. Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  8. High standards of integrity, professionalism, and customer service.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or related field.
  2. Over 3 years of experience in a distribution setting.
  3. Over 2 years of managerial experience.
  4. Experience with quality functions like inspections, audits, etc.
  5. Lean Six Sigma and project management skills.
  6. Proficiency with MS Office, Promapp, Power BI, Visio, etc.
  7. Customer-centric approach and analytical mindset.
  8. Ability to influence, lead, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  9. Agile mindset for continuous improvement.

  4. Salary: $74,525.00 annually.
