Job summary

Four Hands in Austin, TX is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to manage inbound ocean freight from origin ports to our distribution network. You will coordinate with steamship lines, drayage partners, and warehouse teams to keep shipments on schedule and costs in check.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in ocean import logistics, strong Excel and TMS skills, and the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment while resolving issues quickly.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in ocean import logistics, drayage coordination, or port operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and transportation management systems.
• Strong understanding of port terminal operations, steamship lines, rail ramps, and chassis pools.

Responsibilities

• Monitor ocean vessel arrivals, container availability, and rail schedules daily.
• Track ocean freight bookings, releases, and milestones in the TMS/ERP.
• Coordinate container pickups with approved drayage partners and schedule inbound deliveries.
• Serve as primary liaison with warehouse receiving teams to align inbound flow with dock capacity.
• Prepare and share daily inbound shipment status updates and escalation notes.
