Job summary

Webstaurantstore in Baytown, TX is hiring a 1st shift Inbound Material Handler to unload, check in, and stock new inventory. You will use ERP to receive inventory and operate forklifts and related equipment to organize the receiving dock.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork, with a focus on meeting daily goals in a fast-paced distribution environment. A degree is not required, and one year of relevant experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year+ of relevant experience in a distribution environment preferred but not required.
• No degree required; skills and experience valued in lieu of formal education.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, order pickers, etc.

Responsibilities

• Unload live domestic deliveries from trailers using forklift equipment, or unload import containers by hand
• Use our ERP system to systematically receive inventory accurately and efficiency, ready to be placed in storage racking
• Move palletized product using pallet jacks/forklift equipment to organize the receiving dock, or transport product to other areas of the Distribution center
• Scan and place inventory in racking locations using forklift equipment and a handheld scanning device, ready for warehouse operations
• Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners, and computers, following all established protocols and promoting safe working standards
• Meet all expected performance standards regarding efficiency, accuracy and quality of work
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following all safety guidelines and reporting any hazards to the appropriate leadership
• Work closely with team members and leadership to meet daily, weekly, and monthly departmental goals
• Abide by all company and warehouse policies
• Flex into other positions and departments and undertake additional duties as necessary to support the overall operation
