Job summary

FlexSteel USA, LLC is seeking a Material Handler in Baytown, TX to load, unload, and move materials within plant and yard. You will work under the direction of the Material Supervisor and Leads to ensure timely, accurate handling of inventory and deliveries.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of relevant manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.
• Basic math and literacy skills; able to write routine reports.
• Must be insurable and have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to operate and certify for an industrial forklift truck 10k.

Responsibilities

• Unload incoming shipments using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.
• Verify items against packing slips or purchase orders.
• Record received inventory in the system.
• Label and store materials in designated areas.
• Rotate stock (FIFO/LIFO).
• Transport raw materials, parts, or finished goods within a facility.
• Supply materials to production lines or workstations.
• Pick and stage items for outgoing shipments.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or conveyor systems.
• Follow safety protocols and OSHA standards.
• Use inventory management systems (WMS/ERP).
• Communicate with supervisors about material needs.
