Job summary

IdeaTek is seeking an inbound residential sales representative to help customers discover the value of fast, reliable internet. You will be a primary contact, listening to needs, building trust, and guiding them through service selections with clear explanations of pricing and promotions.

In this fast-paced, phone-based role you will close sales, upsell where appropriate, and support ongoing customer relationships.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in sales, call center, or customer service.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong verbal communication and active listening skills.
• Ability to learn and clearly communicate product, service, and process information.
• Flexible schedule including some evenings, alternate hours, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a positive first impression of IdeaTek by building trust and sharing our mission.
• Manage inbound sales inquiries by listening to customer needs and recommending services.
• Guide customers through the sales process with pricing, promotions, and next steps.
• Apply consultative sales techniques to navigate objections and upsell opportunities.
• Support customer retention by understanding cancellations and offering solutions.
• Document accurate information and manage follow-ups to meet sales goals.
• Stay current on IdeaTek products, services, promotions, and processes.
