Job summary

IdeaTek is seeking an inbound residential sales representative in Wichita to help prospect customers discover the value of fast, reliable internet. You will listen, ask thoughtful questions, explain services, and guide buyers through the sales process with a focus on closing and retention.

You’ll work in a fast-paced, phone-based role, handling objections, upselling where appropriate, and documenting details to support individual and team sales goals.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in sales, call center, or customer service.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong verbal communication and active listening skills.
• Ability to learn and clearly communicate product, service, and process information.
• Comfortable working toward defined sales goals and performance expectations.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a positive first impression by building trust and sharing the mission.
• Manage inbound sales inquiries, identify opportunities, and recommend services.
• Explain services, pricing, promotions, and next steps.
• Navigate objections, uncover upsell opportunities, and close sales.
• Support retention conversations to encourage customer loyalty.
• Provide clear, educational information throughout interactions.
• Maintain accurate customer and sales information and complete follow-ups.
• Stay current on products, promotions, and processes to represent the brand.
