Job summary

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is recruiting a Research Services Technologist to provide hands-on support for research involving in vivo models, including care for breeding colonies and collaboration with researchers and veterinary staff.

You will perform specialized procedures and maintain rigorous documentation while adapting to changing study priorities. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, with preferred advanced degrees in lab science and certification like ALAT within 18

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree in lab science, biology, toxicology, or agriculture preferred.
• Minimum 4+ years in a professional lab models care facility; or 2+ years with Associate’s; or bachelor’s with no prior experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support for research involving in vivo models and collaborate with researchers, veterinary staff and team members.
• Care for and manage research breeding colonies and support sample collection, processing and study procedures.
• Perform specialized research procedures including treatment administration, PK/PD studies, surgical procedures, euthanasia and necropsy as requested.
• Collect observations and communicate findings or concerns promptly.
• Follow SOPs and maintain accurate study documentation and billing requirements.
• Troubleshoot routine equipment or process issues and seek additional support when needed.
• Stay organized and responsive as study needs change.
• Work with researchers to meet study goals and support the department’s broader mission.
• Maintain regular and dependable attendance.
