Job summary

Charles River is seeking a Temporary, Part-Time In Vivo Technician I for the In Vivo Team at the Safety Assessment site in Spencerville, OH. The role trains in onboarding tasks, animal handling, data collection, and compliance with GLP and IACUC regulations.

Responsibilities include data recording, welfare of animals, and performing tasks under supervision. The pay rate is $17/hour, with variations by experience, skills, and location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; higher degrees in biological science are a plus.
• Equivalent education/experience may be accepted as substitution for listed requirements.
• Must be able to work extended hours including evenings, weekends, or extra shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Handle and restrain animals; perform clinical observations and monitor food intake.
• Collect, document, review, and verify data in forms or electronic systems.
• Maintain good welfare and humane care for all animals.
• Follow GLP, SOP, BOP, and IACUC requirements to ensure study integrity.
• Operate instrumentation and complete other duties as assigned.
