Job summary

Charles River Laboratories is seeking a Temporary, Part‑Time In Vivo Technician I for our In Vivo Team at the Safety Assessment site in Spencerville, OH. The role involves onboarding tasks, assisting with animal care, collecting data, and working under close supervision to support GLP‑compliant studies.

The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and a commitment to animal welfare. Training will be provided; flexible hours may apply.

Qualifications

• Education: High-school diploma or GED preferred; A.A./A.S. or B.A./B.S. in biological science desired.
• No prior experience required; training provided.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to follow safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Ensure welfare and humane care for all animals.
• Assist with onboarding tasks including handling and restraint of multiple species.
• Collect, document, and verify data in forms or electronic systems.
• Review documentation for quality-control requirements.
• Use and maintain instrumentation and equipment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
