Job summary

Real Staffing client seeks an In Vivo Associate Scientist or Scientist with hands-on rodent handling, dosing, and sample collection experience to join a preclinical pharmacology team. The role focuses on designing and executing complex in vivo studies and generating high-quality data for drug discovery and early-stage research.

The position supports cross-functional collaboration, development of animal models, and compliant study conduct within AAALAC-accredited settings.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience conducting in vivo research with rodent models.
• Proficiency in rodent dosing, handling, restraint, and sample collection.
• Experience with necropsy and tissue collection procedures.
• Strong organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented research environment.
• Excellent documentation and data presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer therapeutic agents to rodents via IP, IV, oral gavage, and other routes.
• Perform blood collection using submandibular, saphenous, tail vein, and cardiac puncture.
• Conduct necropsies and tissue collection procedures.
• Monitor animal health and maintain accurate study records.
• Assist development and validation of rodent disease models.
• Collaborate with in vivo teams, vivarium staff, project leads, and ex vivo groups.
• Author and review study protocols and electronic lab notebook entries.
• Analyze results and present findings to project teams and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with IACUC guidelines and AAALAC-accredited environment.
