Cedent is seeking a Senior Research Associate to advance our research programs. You will design and execute in vivo experiments in rodent models, manage mouse colonies, and collaborate with client scientists to refine protocols. The ideal candidate has 6+ years of hands-on in vivo experience, a B.S. in Biology or related field, strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills, plus EH&S adherence.

Qualifications

• 6+ years hands-on in vivo research with mice or rats.
• B.S. in Biology, Neuroscience, Bioengineering or related field with 4+ years industry or 6+ years academic experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication for collaboration and documentation.
• Organizational and analytical skills to manage multiple projects.
• Adherence to EH&S procedures.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute and manage in vivo experiments in rodent models for efficacy and safety.
• Perform rodent handling and administration routes (IV, ICV, IT), tissue collection, and behavioral assessments.
• Manage mouse colonies including breeding, weaning, and genotyping.
• Conduct immunohistochemistry, microscopy, and biochemistry/molecular biology assays.
• Analyze data and prepare study reports and protocols for presentations and regulatory submissions.
• Maintain accurate records per client guidelines.
• Collaborate with internal/external resources to schedule and execute tasks with minimal guidance.
• Mentor and train junior lab members and provide problem-solving guidance.
• Support the work group with methodological guidance and process improvements.
