Job summary

System One, Inc. in Boston is seeking an In Vivo Pharmacology Assistant for a contract role onsite. You will join a gene therapy in vivo pharmacology lab to perform experiments supporting discovery and optimization of novel therapeutic candidates for genetic medicines.

The position requires a B.S./M.S. in life sciences and 3-5 years in pharma or CRO, with hands-on rodent handling, dosing, blood collection, necropsies, tissue processing, and data analysis.

Qualifications

• B.S./M.S. in life sciences or related field required.
• 3-5 years in pharma or CRO environment preferred.
• Hands-on rodent handling, dosing and blood collection in mice/rats required.
• Experience with necropsies, tissue dissection, processing and trimming.
• Ability to adapt to changing platform needs and provide occasional night/weekend hours.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute in vivo pharmacology experiments in rodent models.
• Assist development and characterization of in vivo models.
• Collaborate with Preclinical, toxicology, and PK/PD teams to translate discovery to development.
• Provide clear written and verbal study reports and attend meetings.
• Maintain electronic notebook and ensure compliance with procedures and GD practices.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
