Job summary

Takeda is seeking an Associate Scientist to join the Oncology Drug Discovery Unit in Boston. You will develop in vivo models, perform PK/PD analyses, and drive evidence generation for IND-enabling studies in immuno-oncology.

The role requires hands-on experience with mouse syngeneic, xenograft or PDX models and collaboration across CROs and internal partners. The successful candidate will design, execute, and interpret complex in vivo experiments, maintain rigorous data records, and communicate

Qualifications

• Requires MS in a scientific discipline with 3+ years industry experience or BS with 5+ years experience.
• Proficiency with in vivo efficacy rodent models (mouse syngeneic, xenograft, PDX).
• Experience with mammalian tissue culture and in vivo model development.
• Knowledge of immunology or immune Oncology; understanding of cell/gene therapies.
• Experience with biologics (antibodies, ADCs, cell therapies) is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with flow cytometry, molecular biology (PCR, cloning), ELISA, MSD, and related assays.

Responsibilities

• Develop in vivo animal models to test therapeutic efficacy in oncology.
• Design and implement in vivo efficacy models (xenograft and PDX).
• Analyze in vivo studies to establish PK/PD/efficacy relationships.
• Collaborate with CROs and internal partners; establish new protocols.
• Execute experiments with minimal supervision and deliver high-quality data.
• Plan and execute defined scientific projects; communicate timelines to management.
• Maintain thorough laboratory notebooks and adhere to compliance.
