Job summary

Ohio State University’s Department of Medicine | Neurological Surgery seeks a Researcher 1 to plan, design, and manage in-vivo studies focused on translational CNS therapies, including AAV, liposomes, and mRNA nanoparticle approaches.

You will perform necropsies, tissue collection, histology, data analysis, and documentation for regulatory submissions, while maintaining GLP/IACUC compliance and supporting publication efforts.

Qualifications

• Experience with murine colony management: breeding, weaning, tagging, and humane euthanization.
• Proficient with necropsy techniques in small and large animals.
• Knowledge of GLP/IACUC compliance and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, execute, and manage in-vivo research studies in translational CNS therapies.
• Perform necropsy and tissue collection; lead necropsy function and histology duties.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data; maintain records for FDA submissions.
• Support preparation of research papers, proposals, and reports; assist PI with funding initiatives.
