Job summary

The Jackson Laboratory in Bar Harbor, ME seeks a Scientist to lead in vivo metabolic phenotyping within the Metabolic Phenotyping Core. You will design, optimize, and execute workflows, interpret complex data, and help implement new technologies to advance core service capabilities.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in biology or related field; PhD preferred.
• 4+ years of relevant scientific experience in core facilities, biotech, or CRO environments.
• Experience with advanced laboratory technologies and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute in vivo metabolic phenotyping workflows and assays.
• Analyze and communicate experimental data to diverse scientific audiences.
• Evaluate and validate new technologies and workflows to enhance capabilities.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, QC processes, and data integrity practices.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support research, grants, and publications.
