The Jackson Laboratory in Bar Harbor, ME seeks a Lead Scientist to guide our Rare Disease Research epilepsy program. You will design and lead in vivo electrophysiology studies, oversee mouse models, and drive translational efforts toward IND-enabling data.

Mentor junior scientists, collaborate with medicinal chemistry and translational teams, publish findings, build external collaborations, and contribute to strategic program direction.

Qualifikationen

• PhD in Neuroscience, Pharmacology, Physiology, or related field.
• Extensive post-doctoral experience in epilepsy or seizure biology.
• Expert-level in in vivo electrophysiology and slice electrophysiology.
• Experience with rodent models of epilepsy and related surgeries.

Aufgaben

• Lead electrophysiology-driven programs using in vivo and ex vivo methods.
• Design, execute, and interpret seizure studies in mouse models.
• Mentor junior scientists and collaborate across translational teams.
• Contribute to IND-enabling preclinical data packages and publications.
• Represent the program in internal reviews and external collaborations.
