Job summary

The Jackson Laboratory in Bar Harbor, ME is seeking a Scientist to join the Core Scientific Services team within the Metabolic Phenotyping Core. You will design, optimize, and execute in vivo metabolic phenotyping workflows to support research objectives and core service operations.

Collaborate with investigators, develop SOPs, mentor staff, and implement new technologies while ensuring data integrity and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in biology or related field; four+ years in research or core facilities.
• Experience with in vivo metabolic phenotyping technologies and data analysis.
• Ability to develop and optimize SOPs, QC, and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute in vivo metabolic phenotyping workflows and assays.
• Analyze and communicate experimental data to diverse scientific audiences.
• Evaluate and validate new technologies to enhance core capabilities.
• Train and mentor staff; ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance.
