Job summary

CRISPR Therapeutics, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Scientist II to develop and enable in vivo gene insertion across multiple tissue/cell types, advancing modalities for diverse disease indications. The position is fully on-site in San Francisco, with base pay range $130,000–$140,000 plus bonus, equity and benefits. Prior CRISPR/editing experience is highly valued for this senior role.

Qualifications

• Extensive prior experience with gene editing and synthetic immunology in academic and/or industry settings.
• PhD with 2–5+ years relevant experience; or non-PhD with 10–12+ years progressive experience.
• Strong technical skills for cloning, flow cytometry, primary T cell culturing, editing assays, and T cell phenotype analysis.
• Excellent communication and ability to collaborate across departments.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute workflows in primary cells to conceive, build, and assess editing outcomes.
• Perform molecular biology techniques including transfection, viral transduction, and delivery via tLNP.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to advance projects toward clinical readiness.
• Quantify editing efficiency and transgene insertion; analyze cell phenotype and construct expression.
• Design ddPCR assays and T cell phenotyping panels; present data to diverse audiences.
• Maintain organized data with statistical analyses and troubleshooting as needed.
