Job summary

Lilly in Indianapolis is seeking a skilled in vitro biologist to join the Cardiovascular and Renal Research team. This bench-focused role designs and validates disease-relevant cellular assays and develops new lab capabilities.

You will perform molecular assessments, apply multiple assay technologies, work with cross-functional teams, and maintain rigorous records while complying with policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cell biology, biochemistry, pharmacology, physiology, or a related field.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• Master's degree in a relevant field preferred.
• Hands-on proficiency with core molecular and biochemical techniques listed in qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Design and independently implement in vitro and cell-based experiments to support preclinical characterization.
• Develop, optimize, and validate disease-relevant cellular assay systems.
• Perform molecular assessments including RNA/DNA isolation and expression analyses (qPCR, Western, ELISA).
• Implement multiple assay detection technologies and validate new ones.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and maintain accurate laboratory records.
