Job summary

H-E-B in Fort Worth, TX seeks an In-Store Selling Manager to lead the Connections Selling Team, drive exceptional customer service, and maintain daily department operations. You will oversee event planning, staff development, and partner education to enhance customer experience and sales.

The role requires strong leadership, merchandising, and food-service knowledge with a focus on brand standards and store performance.

Qualifications

• 21+ years of age
• 3+ years of experience in event coordination, demonstrations and selling, customer service, or a related culinary arts field
• Experience in inventory management
• Experience leading a team of five or more
• Experience in catering, food presentation, large scale cooking, ethnic food, recipe development, etc. (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Lead Total Store Event planning and execution for customer experience and selling
• Prepare and share KPI results with Store Management and Selling Team
• Serve as a role model to ensure exceptional customer experience
• Ensure proper processes for in-store sampling and selling activities
• Act as Own Brand Ambassador and lead Partner education
• Maintain department standards through daily walks, training, and accountability
• Communicate with Department Managers, Store Leaders, and Selling Team Partners
• Contribute to future event planning and market insights for improvement
• Manage recruiting, onboarding, training, and development of the Connections Team
• Deliver partner performance reviews and handle HR matters
• Oversee department budget and payroll
• Train SORM and SORL trainees
• Increase department sales and manage shrink and costs
• Plan and execute store events and merchandising assets
• Build weekly team schedules for customer engagement
• Maintain promotional product orders and delivery schedules
• Lead display planning for events and ensure signage quality
• Prepare reports for corporate accounting and event recaps
• Conduct in-store cooking or tasting events to engage customers
