Job summary

Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. in Grand Rapids, MI, is seeking an In-Store Sales Associate to deliver outstanding customer service, process telephone orders, and assist customers at the counter.

You will support warehouse tasks, move cylinders, and help the Outside Sales team with sales support. The role involves promoting add-on sales of gases and hard goods, maintaining accurate customer records, and performing outbound calls to retail and small customers, while aiming to meet margin targets.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma / GED is required.
• 1+ year of Customer Service / Inside Sales / Counter Sales preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• No DUI / DWI or other alcohol-related convictions in the last 10 years.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers through counter sales in the retail store and answer questions.
• Receive and enter telephone orders; trace order status and shipments.
• Perform outbound calls to retail and small 'B' customers and maintain records.
• Assist warehouse duties, move cylinders, and support Outside Sales.
• Promote add-on sales of gases and hard goods; conduct product demonstrations.
• Ensure accurate account setup and pricing; target margins.
