Job summary

Linde plc is seeking a customer-focused professional in Visalia, CA to join our team as an Inside Sales/Customer Service role. You will handle telephone orders, assist customers at the counter, and support the Outside Sales team.

Responsibilities include warehouse duties, product demonstrations, record maintenance, and promoting gases and hard-goods add-ons. Requires a high school diploma and 1+ year experience.

Qualifications

What you will enjoy doing*

• You will perform customer service activities, including receiving and entering telephone orders, answering questions, resolving challenges, and tracing order status or product shipments.
• Serve customers through counter sales in the retail store.
• Conduct warehouse duties, including moving cylinders for customers.
• Provide sales support to the Outside Sales team.
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate products, equipment, and programs.
• You will promote add‑on sales of gases and high‑margin hard‑goods accessories and conduct product demonstrations as an in‑store sales representative.
• Maintain customer records and files, ensuring accurate account setup and pricing.
• Perform outbound calls to retail and small B customers.
• You will sell products at minimum discount to achieve target margins and occasionally support additional locations.

What makes you great

• You have a high school diploma / GED.
• More than one (1+) year(s) of Customer Service/Inside Sales/Counter Sales is preferred.
• You should have excellent customer service skills to be successful in this role.
• You do not have a DUI / DWI or other alcohol (driving) related convictions within the last ten (10) years.

Pay range: $21.02 - $30.83 hourly depending on experience.
