The Children's Place in Peoria, IL is hiring a Sales Associate to support the Store Leadership Team in achieving company goals. You will deliver excellent customer service with product knowledge and effective selling techniques while keeping merchandise presentation fresh and the store clean.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, promoting promotions, maintaining stock, assisting at the cash wrap, and contributing to store goals. The role requires flexibility to work weekends and evenings.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous retail experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Be aware of customer activity and respond with urgency to assist customers.
• Greet customers and provide the appropriate level of service.
• Explain value and promotions, and offer solutions for out-of-stock items.
• Address customer concerns with sound judgment.
• Demonstrate selling skills to positively impact conversion.
• Provide fast, friendly service at the cashwrap and promote the PLACE Card.
• Maintain stock levels and ensure sizes and styles are represented.
• Follow standards for merchandise presentation, signage, and display.
• Keep stockroom neat, organized and safe; maintain a customer-ready environment.
• Perform daily housekeeping and protect company assets per LP procedures.
• Inform leadership of maintenance needs to ensure a clean, safe store.
• Contribute to store goals and be flexible with stock processing.
