The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking an Event Coordinator for the Huntington Beach store to plan and run children's parties and in-store events.

You will assist shoppers, handle checkouts, and promote rewards programs while delivering friendly service in a fast-paced retail setting. Responsibilities include coordinating multiple events, managing supplies, and maintaining store standards, with opportunities to cross-train in framing and crafts.

• Experience working with children and children's events.
• Good communication skills including written, verbal, and nonverbal, plus listening.

• Retail and/or customer service experience required.

Responsabilités

• Plan and coordinate multiple events including children's birthday parties and craft classes.
• Engage with clients of all ages to create fun, creative environments.
• Demonstrate crafts and supervise activities such as face painting.
• Coordinate party add-ons like goody bags and balloons.
• Assist customers, help locate products and provide solutions.
• Handle checkout processes and enroll rewards programs.
• Assist with omnichannel processes (BOPIS, SFS) and back-room tasks.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety; set up and break down events.
• Cross-train in Custom Framing selling and production.
• Daily store cleanliness activities.
