Job summary

Club Demonstration Services (CDS) is seeking an Event Manager to recruit, hire and supervise in-store product demonstrators and oversee product prep and presentation. You will train demonstrators and ensure superb service to Club members, coordinating with warehouse managers, vendors and teams across locations, including grand openings.

CDS is Costco’s in-house event marketing provider, delivering leading, person-to-person marketing to boost sales.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• 2–4 years of related experience in retail, hospitality, or food environments.
• Detail oriented with excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Proven ability to lead well performing teams.
• Ability to exercise independent judgement.
• Flexible and able to work in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, and hire part-time staff.
• Oversee product preparation and presentation, including food safety and sanitation.
• Train Product Demonstrators in demonstration preparation and customer service.
• Communicate between managers, vendors and demonstrators.
• Participate in new location grand openings as required.
