Job summary

RiseBoro Community Partnership is seeking an RN to conduct in-service classes for Home Health Aides, ensuring DOH & OMIG compliance. Responsibilities include classroom assessment, exam grading, and teaching on precautions, health maintenance, and disease prevention.

Responsibilities

• Assess HHAs at class start for uniform, shoes, nails and masks.
• Initiate a conducive environment to promote teaching.
• Supervise HHAs use of Durable Medical Equipment with proper body mechanics.
• Review material and present it in a knowledgeable, concise manner.
• Grade all exams and tutor students needing help with topics.
• Educate HHAs about standard precautions, OSHA, health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe Registered Nurse will conduct in-service classes for Home Health Aides (HHAs), following DOH & OMIG guidelines for a Licensed Home Care Service Agency (LHCSA).
