Job summary

RiseBoro Community Partnership in New York, NY seeks an experienced nurse educator to lead home health aide training and clinical instruction across our programs. You will assess students, deliver clear lectures, supervise practice, and ensure outcomes meet quality standards.

The ideal candidate is a NYS-licensed RN, with BLS/CPR, bilingual in English and Spanish, and a proven ability to teach, grade exams, and promote safety, infection control, and compassionate care in diverse communities.

Qualifications

• It is NYS licensed and registered as a Registered Professional Nurse.
• Minimum one year of home health care experience preferred.
• Bilingual English and Spanish required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess HHAs in classroom at start of class for uniform, shoes, nails, masks.
• Initiate a constructive environment to promote teaching and explain topics.
• Supervise HHA use of Durable Medical Equipment and demonstrate proper body mechanics.
• Able to review material and present it in a knowledgeable, concise manner.
• Grade all exams and provide tutorials to students requiring extra help.
• Educate HHAs about standard precautions, OSHA, health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Specific duties and responsibilities include:

• Assess HHAs in the classroom at the start of the class making sure they are in uniform, in proper shoes, have nails of proper length, and wearing masks
• Initiate a good environment to promote teaching, taking time to explain topics
• Supervise HHAs use of Durable Medical Equipment while demonstrating proper body mechanics
• Able to review the material and present it in a knowledgeable, concise manner
• Able to grade all exams, and give tutorials to students that are having difficulty grasping the topics
• Educate HHAs about standard precautions, OSHA, health maintenance, and disease prevention.
• Other related duties as assigned

EDUCATION And EXPERIENCE
