Job summary

Bahia Resort Hotel in San Diego seeks an in-room dining server to provide courteous, timely, and professional room service through the resort’s food and beverage delivery channel. You will ensure accuracy, guest satisfaction, and adherence to resort standards while performing related duties in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include delivering orders, assisting in the Dockside 1953 restaurant when needed, and maintaining cleanliness and safety across service areas.

Qualifications

• 6–12 months of relevant experience and/or training.
• Availability to work on weekends and holidays.
• San Diego County Food Handler certification required on hire; Evans Hotels will provide training at company expense.
• RBS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver all room service orders to guest rooms in a timely, accurate, and professional manner with exceptional guest service.
• Review orders for accuracy and completeness prior to delivery.
• Complete assigned side work, including lobby water stations, inventory, and keeping areas clean and organized.
• Assist with food running and bussing duties in the hotel’s signature restaurant, Dockside 1953, during periods between room service deliveries.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment across assigned areas.

Evans Hotels will provide this training and is to be completed at the company’s expense.RBS certification required.Ability to always maintain a friendly, professional, team-oriented, positive demeanor and diplomatic attitude, especially under stress or challenges.Ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods of time, up to and including, the entire shift and lift up to 25 lbs.The following position will be filled in accordance with the process set forth in California Labor Code Section 2810.8 and San Diego Municipal Code 311.0101 et. seq.**The pay scale posted is the salary or hourly wage range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for the position during the first year of employment.
