Job summary

Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts is seeking an In-Room Dining Server. You will deliver in-room food orders, greet guests, and describe menu items with vivid details.

You will maintain room service setups and respond to guest requests, while upholding the brand’s standards and working closely with the hotel team. The role requires a high school education, flexibility to work evenings/nights/holidays, English proficiency, and US work authorization.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Preferred luxury hotel in F&B experience.
• Must be flexible with schedule – weekdays, weekends, holidays, evenings/overnight.
• Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in English.
• Ability to carry and balance a tray.
• US work authorization required.

Responsibilities

• Check completed kitchen orders and deliver to the guest in-room.
• Transport items to guestrooms promptly to ensure food quality.
• Greet guests and describe items with origin, taste and preparation details; offer tray removal options.
• Breakdown and set-up of room service tables, condiments, and dishware.
• Anticipate guest needs and respond to requests promptly.
• Close guest checks and settle payments.
• Take orders in the absence of an order taker.
• Plate and prepare small food items.
• Adhere to Four Seasons’ work rules and standards.
• Work harmoniously with coworkers and supervisors.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Opportunity:

Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley is currently looking for an In-Room Dining Server.

Essential function of The Job:

• Check completed kitchen orders with the order taker or guest’s original order and deliver food orders including any special needs or requests to the guest in-room.
• Transport items to the guestroom in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality.
• Greet guests, describe selected items to the guest using interesting, and vivid descriptions of the each item’s, origin, taste, and preparation methods; communicate options for removal of trays and dishware; respond to request for tray removal according to established time standards.
• Breakdown, clean and set-up of room service tables, condiment set-ups, flatware, dishware, and room service side stations.
• Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
• Properly and accurately close guest checks securing room number and signature; properly settle voided checks or complimentary meals.
• Take guest orders in the absence of order taker.
• Plate and prepare small food items.
• Comply with Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact.
• Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors
• Other duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school education or equivalent.
• Preferred experience in a luxury hotel in food and beverage or related work
• Must be flexible with schedule – Able to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, evening/overnight shifts.
• Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.

• Must provide work authorization document - proof of eligibility to work in the United States of America
