Job summary

Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley is currently looking for an In-Room Dining Server. Deliver food to guest rooms and greet guests with vivid menu descriptions, ensuring guest satisfaction and timely service.

You will work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends; must be able to carry a tray and have U.S. work authorization. The role offers competitive pay, tips, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Experience in a luxury hotel food & beverage preferred.
• Able to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, evenings or overnight shifts.
• Must read, write and speak English.
• Able to carry and balance a tray.
• Must provide work authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Check completed kitchen orders with the order taker or guest’s original order and deliver food orders including any special needs or requests to the guest in-room.
• Transport items to the guestroom in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality.
• Greet guests and describe items with vivid details of origin, taste and preparation; suggest removal of trays and dishware as needed.
• Set up and break down room service tables, condiment stations, and dishware.
• Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and respond to requests.
• Close guest checks and settle payments; handle voided meals if applicable.
• Take guest orders in the absence of the order taker.
• Plate and prepare small food items.
• Adhere to Four Seasons’ work rules and standards.
• Work harmoniously with coworkers and supervisors.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Opportunity

Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley is currently looking for an In-Room Dining Server.

Essential Function Of The Job

• Check completed kitchen orders with the order taker or guest’s original order and deliver food orders including any special needs or requests to the guest in-room.
• Transport items to the guestroom in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality.
• Greet guests, describe selected items to the guest using interesting, and vivid descriptions of the each item’s, origin, taste, and preparation methods; communicate options for removal of trays and dishware; respond to request for tray removal according to established time standards.
• Breakdown, clean and set-up of room service tables, condiment set-ups, flatware, dishware, and room service side stations.
• Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
• Properly and accurately close guest checks securing room number and signature; properly settle voided checks or complimentary meals.
• Take guest orders in the absence of order taker.
• Plate and prepare small food items.
• Comply with Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact.
• Work harmoniously and professionally with co‑workers and supervisors
• Other duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications And Skills

• High school education or equivalent.
• Preferred experience in a luxury hotel in food and beverage or related work
• Must be flexible with schedule – Able to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, evening/overnight shifts.
• Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
• Ability to carry and balance a tray.
• Must provide work authorization document - proof of eligibility to work in the United States of America
