Job summary

Pier Sixty-Six Resort in Florida is seeking an In Room Dining Server to greet guests, take orders, and deliver food and beverages with personalized, high-quality service. You will liaise with the kitchen, manage payments, and ensure guest satisfaction while maintaining menu knowledge and presentation standards.

Reporting to the Food & Beverage Management team, you’ll contribute to a seamless dining experience for hotel guests, residents, and members, with a focus on hospitality, teamwork,

Qualifications

  • Be a people person that thrive to create experiences for our guests that go beyond the expected.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English both verbally and through legible writing, always in a professional way toward guests and associates.
  • High School Diploma, GED or some College experience or Degree recommended.
  • Must be TIPS certified or become certified within 30 days of hire.
  • Must have a current Food Handlers card.
  • Previous similar experience in a professional setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests, taking orders, serving food and beverages.
  • Check on guest satisfaction and ensure dining experience exceeds expectations.
  • Liaise with kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared correctly and delivered timely.
  • Process guest payments including cash, card, and room charges.
  • Safely transport orders to guest rooms and deliver courteously.
  • Know menu offerings, ingredients, preparation methods, and allergens.
  • Set up trays or carts with items, garnishes, condiments, and utensils.
  • Address guests' service needs and maintain professional communication.
  • Develop positive working relationships and support your team to reach goals.
  • Ensure adherence to quality and standards.
  • Move objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
  • Thank guests with genuine appreciation.
  • Perform other duties as requested by Supervisors.

We currently have an opportunity for a well-rounded and seasoned In Room Dining Server to join our Pier Sixty-Six Resort team! You will be an integral member of the team that creates distinctively different and authentic experiences for our guests. You will be responsible for greeting guests, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and checking on guest satisfaction. You will use the freedom to go beyond to turn guest interactions into moments of magic.

Reporting to the Food & Beverage Management team, you will support and provide an excellent service to all hotel guests, residents, and members.

Responsibilities
  • Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests.
  • Provide exceptional and personalized service to guests staying at the resort, ensuring their dining experience exceeds expectations.
  • Liaise effectively with kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared correctly and delivered to guests in a timely manner, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Process guest payments accurately and efficiently, including cash transactions, credit card payments, and room charges, following resort policies and procedures
  • Safely transport orders to guest rooms, navigating the resort layout efficiently and delivering orders courteously and professionally.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of the menu offerings, including ingredients, preparation methods, and allergen information, to assist guests in making informed choices.
  • Carefully set up trays or carts with ordered items, garnishes, condiments, and utensils, ensuring each delivery is visually appealing and well-organized.
  • Anticipate and address guests` service needs.
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others and support your team to reach common goals.
  • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.
  • Thank guests with genuine appreciation.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
