Job summary

Main & Vine in Cincinnati is seeking a Server Assistant for In-Room Dining & Upkeep to support timely order delivery and maintain guest floors and service areas. You will help prepare trays, stock service items, and assist with VIP requests, events, and general front- and back-of-house sanitation.

Qualifications

• Prior hospitality or food and beverage experience preferred.
• Knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation standards.

• Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain a sense of urgency.
• Punctuality and reliable attendance are required.
• Basic familiarity with hotel or restaurant operations preferred.

• Ability to push and pull carts and lift items weighing up to 30-40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist with delivering in-room dining orders to guest rooms in a timely and professional manner.
• Greet guests politely when entering or exiting guest rooms and hallways.
• Adhere to grooming and appearance standards.
• Prepare trays, carts, and tables for service, ensuring all items are properly set and stocked.
• Retrieve trays, carts, and service items from guest floors promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness of service stations, hallways, and storage areas.
• Clean and sanitize trays, carts, hot boxes, and all related equipment after use.
• Monitor guest floors to ensure timely tray pick-up and overall presentation standards.
• Assist servers with order preparation, delivery setup, and breakdown.
• Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor.
• Assist with special events, amenities, and VIP room deliveries as needed.
• Answer telephone using appropriate etiquette when required.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers and other departments.
• Assist with dishwashing or kitchen support as needed.
• Clean all assigned back-of-house and front-of-house areas including floors, walls, and service equipment.
• Restock supplies such as condiments, beverages, linens, and service items.
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
