Job summary

Thompson Austin is seeking an In-Room Dining Attendant to record guest food and beverage orders, offer menu suggestions, and process payments for room charges and card transactions. The role serves as a key guest contact in the dining experience and ensures accuracy and hospitality throughout service.

Responsibilities include inputting orders, delivering items, settling checks, maintaining the room service area, and addressing guest concerns with a positive approach.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Liquor, wine and beer knowledge and food knowledge.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Proactive attitude with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work cohesively with colleagues as part of a team.
• Flexible schedule; overnight shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Receives and inputs guest orders.
• Ensure orders are correctly received by the kitchen.
• Delivers food and beverage orders and collects payments.
• Settles checks in the POS system per hotel specifications.
• Assists in maintaining the Room Service area and equipment.
• Handles complaints with a positive attitude.
