Job summary

Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts in Puerto Rico is seeking a guest services professional to provide courteous telephone service, process guest orders, and ensure accurate delivery of food and beverage items to guest rooms.

You will coordinate with the kitchen and room service teams, monitor guest requests, anticipate needs, and uphold Four Seasons' standards of conduct in every interaction. A high school diploma and strong communication skills are required.

About the location:

Nestled along a two-mile (3.2-kilometre) stretch of beach in Puerto Rico’s Bahia Beach community, Four Seasons Resort and Residences Puerto Rico is also surrounded by its own 483-acre (195-hectare) private nature reserve. The property is seamlessly integrated with its natural surroundings, allowing guests and residents to immerse themselves in the white sand beaches, verdant walking trails, and myriad outdoor activities – from golf, tennis, swimming and beyond.

Answer telephone using courteous, efficient telephone etiquette while obtaining all information necessary to process the guest’s order according to Four Seasons Standards, describe the selection of food & beverage menu items to guests by offering interesting, and vivid descriptions of the each item’s, origin, taste, and preparation methods. (30%)

1. Monitor our other mobile platforms on which guests can place orders or communicate with us. Reply to guest enquiries, and assist them in a timely and courteous manner. (10%)
2. Communicate guest orders including any special needs or requests to the kitchen using the hotel’s point-of-sales system; check completed kitchen orders with the guest’s original order; coordinate delivery of items to the guestroom by Room Service Servers in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality; properly and accurately close guest checks; record guest charges and gratuities. (20%)
3. Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests. (10%)
4. Coordinate amenity deliver by ensuring that all requests are received, filed, ordered from kitchen and delivered in a prompt and accurate fashion. (10%)
5. Comply with Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact. (10%)
6. Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors. (10%)

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Stock and order items.
2. Assist in setting tray tables for delivery.
