Job summary

Four Seasons Resort and Residences Puerto Rico seeks a Server to deliver exceptional service by describing menu offerings, guiding guests through dining selections, and coordinating with the kitchen to fulfill orders.

Responsibilities include anticipating guest needs, resolving issues promptly, and handling checks and payments. Candidates should be fluent in English and Spanish, with strong customer service skills and a professional, courteous demeanor.

About the role:

The Server provides exceptional quality service to our guests. The main responsibility of this role is to serve guests' needs by providing expert knowledge of the food & beverage menu offerings as well as information regarding preparation methods.

What you will do:

• Describe the selection of food & beverage menu items to guests by offering interesting, and vivid descriptions of each item’s, origin, taste, and preparation methods; communicate guest orders including any special needs or requests to the kitchen using the hotel’s point-of-sales system; coordinate food timings; check completed kitchen orders with the guest’s original order; transport items to the guest table in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality.

• Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.

• Properly and accurately close guest checks; process cash and credit card payments; properly settle voided checks or complimentary meals.

• Previous experience in a server role, preferably in a resort or high-end dining establishment.

• Strong customer service skills and a friendly demeanor.

• Proficiency in both English and Spanish language.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Familiarity with menus, food items, and beverages, including cocktails and coffee drinks.

• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

• Basic knowledge of POS systems and cash handling.

• Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
