Job summary

Starwood in Austin is seeking an In-Room Dining Server to join our team on a part-time basis. The role covers set-up, service, and breakdown of all in-room dining tasks with a strong emphasis on guest satisfaction and attentiveness.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of similar experience, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, 24-hour operation. A post-secondary diploma is a plus, and comfort with POS systems is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of related food & beverage server experience.
• Post-secondary diploma or degree a plus.
• Ability to work in a 24-hour operation and fast-paced environment.
• Must be organized, customer-focused, and detail oriented.
• Comfort with technology and POS systems.
• Excellent guest service skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to work flexible weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill guest service needs and tasks related to in-room dining.
• Set up, service, bussing, and breakdown of in-room dining.
• Record orders in POS and communicate with kitchen.
• Prepare mise-en-place and set tables.
• Ensure cleanliness and safety of in-room dining areas.
• Provide accurate checks and process payments.
• Adhere to liquor regulations and no gratuities solicitation.
