Your role will involve taking and delivering orders, preparing trays, and ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation, all within a thriving casino environment.
Under the direction of the Supervisor, Food & Beverage, the In-Room Dining Attendant is responsible for ensuring that all resort guests have the highest quality food and beverage in-room dining experience. This position involves interacting one-on-one with guests, taking and delivering orders, preparing trays/carts, and making cocktails. The In-Room Dining Attendant accurately inputs all orders into the point-of-sale (POS) system and communicates any special requests. They exhibit professionalism and competence while setting up the in-room dining presentation, utilizing best in class service standards to ensure guest satisfaction. In addition, maintains the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation while executing their duties.
1. Is responsible for creating the ultimate, memorable guest experience by providing exceptional service to every guest; interacts and entertains in an enthusiastic and engaging manner. Greets guests in a timely manner with a smile, makes eye contact, escorts them to tables, and provides a menu (if applicable).
2. Responds to all guest calls promptly, ensuring orders are accurately placed and closed in a timely manner. Ensures all sales transactions are processed correctly to maintain proper department operations. Processes transactions accurately, ensuring guests pay for their food and beverages and receive the correct change. Adheres to all cash handling procedures, including tip policies and practices, as established by the department.
3. Is responsible for serving and preparing meals on trays & carts according to the Forbes 5 Star and department standards. Delivers food to guest rooms and any necessary condiments to guests, ensuring that all items are presented neatly and accurately.
4. Ensures that assigned areas are fully stocked with condiments, plastic ware, coffee, and other necessary items, maintaining a well-organized and efficient setup. Restocks ice bins continuously during operations as needed to ensure a steady supply.
5. Maintains the cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of workstation and assigned areas. Ensure that all hallways are free from service debris and that all room service trays are brought back to the kitchen for breakdown and bussing.
6. Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum one (1) year of experience as a food server in high volume and/or fine dining environment is preferred.
Minimum one (1) year of experience in a hotel environment is preferred.
Must be able to read, write and communicate in the English language.
Must be able to perform simple mathematical operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
Must be able to manage cash transactions accurately and securely.
Must be able to have clear and effective communication with guests and team members.
Must be able to provide friendly, efficient and best in class service to guests and team members, addressing their needs and resolving issues.
Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
Must be able to work under pressure by staying calm and efficient during busy period(s).
At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
Must obtain and maintain a Food Handler’s Card.

Primary work environment is in a climate-controlled Casino & Resort setting.
Work requires travel to attend meetings, trade shows, and conferences.
Incumbents may be required to work evening, weekend and holiday shifts.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
Strength sufficient to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects and/or move up to 40 pounds occasionally.
Sedentary work: involves sitting most of the time. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
Physical activities that apply to the essential functions of the position are balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
Hearing sufficient to hear conversational levels in person, via videoconference and over the telephone.
Speech sufficient to make oneself heard and understood in person, in front of groups, in meetings, via videoconference and over the telephone.
Visual acuity that meets the requirements of the position: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading and visual inspection of employees, visitors or facility.
Mobility sufficient to safely move in an office environment, walk, stoop, bend and kneel, and enter, exit and operate a motor vehicle in the course of travel to promotional events, meetings, conferences, trade shows and San Manuel properties.
Endurance sufficient to sit, walk and stand for extended periods, and maintain efficiency throughout the entire work shift and during extended work hours.
Must present a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance in accordance with departmental policy.
The employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles including secondhand smoke.
