Job summary

Associated Milk Producers Inc. (AMPI) seeks a Laboratory/QA Technician to perform in-process testing of cheese products, record lab results, and help ensure SQF compliance. You will work with production teams to adjust processes for optimal quality and maintain a clean, safe lab environment.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and be prepared to uphold food safety standards, participate in audits, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within AMPI's facilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine in-process testing during cheese production runs to monitor product quality.
• Accurately record data from lab tests and communicate results to production staff and supervisors.
• Analyze test results and collaborate with the production team to make real time process adjustments to reduce undergrades and improve product consistency.
• Use and maintain various lab equipment (e.g., pH meters, moisture analyzers, fat testers) to test product characteristics.
• Ensure all testing, procedures and documentation comply with SQF (Safe Quality Food) standards and company quality systems.
• Communicate findings clearly and effectively with production, quality, and management teams.
• Identify trends or issues in product quality and elevate as necessary.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and food-safe laboratory and work area.
• Participate in internal audits, training, and continuous improvement activities.
