The Amity Foundation in the United States seeks a Counselor I to deliver face-to-face rehabilitative programming inside a state prison, supporting inmates through the Integrated Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program. You will facilitate evidence-based classes, document progress, and work with CDCR staff to ensure ethical, confidential care.

You will develop release-prevention plans, conduct sessions, and maintain ARMS documentation while promoting participant engagement and adherence to

Formación

• Registered with an organization approved by DHCS and AOD certification within five years.
• Understanding of substance abuse causes, symptoms, and effects.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Operational knowledge of MS Office and ARMS.
• Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards under pressure.

Responsabilidades

• Facilitate CBI classes using evidence-based curriculum for participants.
• Conduct classes and individual sessions to support release planning.
• Evaluate and document participant progress in ARMS and records.
• Engage participants daily and reinforce program norms and participation.
• Collaborate with CDCR/CCHCS headquarters, local institution, and staff.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
