Watco Transloading in Sauget, IL seeks a Deckhand (In Port Services Only) to support safe operation of tow, fleet, and terminal activities. You will perform barge handling, dock work, and material movement throughout the terminal with 12-hour shifts and on-site work.

The role emphasizes safety, training completion, and adherence to US Coast Guard and environmental standards while operating equipment like skid steers and dozers as needed.

• Ability to pass training and required testing.

• Operate and maintain barges and fleet safely and efficiently in port services operations.
• Respond to emergencies (e.g., man overboard) and participate in drills.
• Build and break tows; ensure barges are secure and dock activities are performed to SOPs.
• Perform vessel maintenance including cleaning, scraping, painting, and changing fuel/oil/filters.
• Wear required PPE and follow safety regulations and company policies.
