Job summary

Watco is hiring a Dock Hand at our Louisville River Road Marine Terminal. The role involves assisting with removing and resetting barge covers, helping move and secure barges, and operating a skid steer to handle materials.

You will work full-time outdoors, with a schedule that includes overtime and potential weekend shifts, while prioritizing safety and environmental practices. Paid at an hourly rate of $18.00 with opportunities for training through Watco University and career development

Qualifications

• Must communicate daily safety instructions to crew.
• Flexible and able to work any shift.
• Full-time outdoor job in all weather.
• Safety and environmental priorities are top.
• Learn from directions and apply procedures with good judgement.
• Pass safety training administered by the customer.
• Ability to use ladders and work near water.
• Driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Remove and reset barge covers as needed.
• Assist Operators with barge movement and securing.
• Operate skid steer to move materials.
• Prepare equipment for product transfer and perform inspections.
• Complete documentation and safety checks.
