Job summary

Upper Valley Aquatics Center seeks an Aquatics Personal Trainer to blend fitness with swimming, building relationships with members through client-centered sessions in our pools.

You will educate, train, and motivate members for 1-to-1 and small group sessions, greet members professionally, and administer wellness screenings, exercise programming, and equipment orientation while maintaining safety and order.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in health and fitness, exercise science, or related field (preferred).
• Certification by a nationally recognized accredited certification body (IHRSA approved).
• Minimum of 1 year of training experience (preferred).
• Must have AED and CPR certification or obtain within 3 months of hire.
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Emails, Google).

Responsibilities

• Educate, train, and motivate members for 1-to-1 and small group sessions.
• Greet members and staff with exemplary service and professionalism.
• Administer wellness screenings, exercise programs, and equipment orientation.
• Maintain a safe environment; assist with cleaning and equipment maintenance.
• Attend departmental meetings and trainings; uphold certifications.
• Meet personal, retention, and revenue goals under Fitness Director guidance.
• Process payments for training sessions before delivery.
• Maintain a UVAC professional page on social media with regular posts.
• Build brand awareness and attract new clients through authentic engagement.
• Consult with members on fitness goals and proper equipment use.
• Demonstrate exceptional service and professional conduct at all times.
• Complete payroll procedures weekly and use required forms.
• Assist with data keeping of member fitness information and incident reporting.
• Other duties assigned by Fitness Director.
