Westminster-Canterbury of the Blue Ridge in Charlottesville, VA seeks a Fitness and Aquatics Coordinator to assist the Fitness and Wellness Manager with personal training, group classes, and wellness initiatives for residents.

You will design and lead land and water exercise programs, promote activities across the organization, ensure orientations, monitor safety, and help staff with personalized plans and live-streamed sessions. Evening and weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a fitness facility, including leading group exercise classes and providing personal training.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of residents and associates.
• Available to work evenings and weekends as required.

Responsabilités

• Develop, schedule and instruct land-based exercise classes that meet residents' needs and abilities.
• Develop, schedule, and instruct recreational aquatics exercise classes and services for participants.
• Promote and communicate Center programs to residents using various methods; respond to complaints professionally.
• Develop, implement, supervise, and modify individualized land- and water-based exercise plans for varied abilities.
• Develop, schedule, and instruct live-streamed exercise classes for residents as needed.
• Create protocols for individualized exercise programs based on health considerations; ensure orientation before participation.
• Assist in designing individualized exercise programs for staff members and monitor progress.
• Design progressive fitness and aquatics programs and present recommendations to staff/residents.
• Monitor the pool and its users for safety.
• Contribute to facility care including pool maintenance, equipment cleaning, and towels/supplies.
