Job summary

Alpha seeks a dedicated Youth Development Specialist to run life-skills workshops for K-8 students and to coach them toward 100% of weekly app goals. You will analyze Coachbot data and drive student motivation in a campus setting.

You will work in person at one of Alpha’s campuses, delivering adaptive learning-enabled instruction and maintaining high standards for student growth and engagement.

Qualifications

• Three years minimum working directly with K-8 students (classroom teaching, tutoring, coaching, or youth programs).
• Comfortable letting adaptive learning software deliver academics while you focus on motivation and life-skills coaching.
• Strong classroom management and the ability to hold a room of young students for an hour.

Responsibilities

• Lead one-hour life-skills workshops for K-8 cohorts on public speaking, focus, and feedback.
• Conduct daily 1:1 and small-group motivation sessions to reach 100% of weekly app goals.
• Administer and coach on Test2Pass mastery assessments for each skill.
• Adapt workshop playbooks and create sessions to fit varied ages from kindergartner to 8th grade.
• Be the authoritative yet supportive mentor for students.
