Job summary

NTC Language Services is seeking reliable and professional educational interpreters for in-person interpretation in NYC. This part-time, as-needed role focuses on English/Vietnamese communication within educational settings, including parent-teacher conferences, IEP meetings, and school events.

Qualifications

• Be able to read, write, and speak proficiently in both English and Vietnamese.
• Interpret spoken communication accurately and completely between both languages.
• Understand written information and communicate it accurately when required.
• Demonstrate strong listening, comprehension, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person interpretation for parent-teacher conferences, CSE/CPSE meetings, student evaluations, registrations, orientations, and other school events.
• Interpret accurately and completely between English and Vietnamese while maintaining neutrality and confidentiality.
• Arrive on time and travel to assigned locations, communicating scheduling and attendance professionally.
