Job summary

Catapult Learning is seeking a High Impact Tutor to support elementary students in reading, mathematics, and writing at Aldine ISD, Houston, TX. You will diagnose skill deficits, work with school staff, and communicate student progress to parents, applying company-designed materials and strategies.

The role emphasizes in-person, on-site tutoring four days per week, with opportunities for year-round or summer schedules. Strong commitment to student growth is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience tutoring Reading/ELA and/or Math in upper elementary grades (4th-5th) is required.
• Availability to work four days per week (Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri) is required.
• Teaching certification is preferred but not required.
• Bilingual skills are preferred but not required.
• Non-licensed tutors: associate degree or 48/72 hours completed.
• Licensed tutors: Texas-credentialed teachers.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose learning skill deficits and deliver prescribed instructional methods.
• Consult with school personnel to coordinate services for students.
• Communicate with parents and report student progress.
• Deliver prescribed instructional methods using company materials.
• Attend trainings and apply instructional models in readiness, reading, math and/or writing.
