Job summary

Catapult Learning, a division of FullBloom, seeks a High Impact Tutor to provide contracted instructional services in reading, mathematics, and writing for students at Aldine ISD in Houston, TX. This position is in-person (not remote) with a focus on guiding and empowering students to be their best.

The tutor will diagnose skill deficits, coordinate with school staff, communicate progress to parents, and develop lesson plans.

Qualifications

• Experience tutoring Reading/ELA and/or Math in the upper elementary grades (4th-5th) required.
• Availability to work four days per week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday) required.
• Teaching certification preferred (not required).
• Bilingual skills preferred (not required).
• Non-licensed tutors: associate degree or higher; or 48 semester hours / 72 quarter hours.
• Licensed tutors: Texas licensed teacher.
• Tutors must complete FBI/BCI background check.
• Teaching experience preferred.
• Unwavering belief that all children can learn.
• Ability to navigate online platforms for record keeping and communication.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose learning skill deficits and deliver prescribed instructional methods.
• Consult with school personnel to coordinate services.
• Communicate progress with parents.
• Deliver prescribed instructional methods.
• Attend training and deliver instructional models in readiness, reading, math, and/or writing.
• Develop and maintain individualized lesson plans.
• Supervise students and escort to sessions.
• Maintain student forms and files as required by authorities.
• Attend meetings with Supervisors, teachers, principals, and parents.
• Maintain inventory of educational materials.
• Other duties as assigned.
