Job summary

Cushing Terrell is seeking an in-person Structural Engineering Intern to support the Structural Engineering team on real client projects in Denver. You will build foundational engineering knowledge, develop calculations, and gain exposure to diverse building types.

You will complete twelve weekly modules led by engineers, participate in site visits, and collaborate with interns and engineers across the firm, preparing you for a career in the AEC industry.

Qualifications

• Completion of 3+ years of a structural or civil engineering undergrad program.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD or Revit.
• Basic knowledge of Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Bluebeam.
• Strong problem-solving, and the ability to learn and adapt.
• Strong written and verbal communication, and collaboration across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Develop calculations, plans, and details for an example building.
• Build understanding of lateral systems and load paths.
• Work with engineering teams on active projects and assignments.
• Complete twelve weekly modules taught by structural engineers.
• Attend site visits with project leads.
• Collaborate with interns and engineers across the firm.
• Gain exposure to a variety of project types and teams.
