Job summary

Onward Education is seeking a Special Education Teacher to support a school in Trumbull, Connecticut for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time, in-person position involves developing individualized education plans and collaborating with school teams to support students with disabilities.

You will work on-site in Fairfield County providing instructional interventions, including ABA and social-emotional learning, while leveraging adaptive technologies and sensory supports to promote student

Qualifications

• Valid CT special education license or certification.
• Experience with autism, behavioral challenges, or sensory needs preferred.
• Strong understanding of behavioral interventions, sensory supports, and adaptive technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education plans tailored to students' needs.
• Utilize ABA or social-emotional learning techniques.
• Collaborate with classroom staff, therapists, and families to optimize educational outcomes.
• Incorporate sensory supports and adaptive technologies into daily instruction.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and report on development regularly.
